The Most Trusted Name In Pups For Sale Since 1982!

Shichon Puppies

Shichons, also known as Zuchons or Teddy Bear dogs, are a crossbreed between a Shih Tzu and a Bichon Frise. They typically inherit a small to medium-sized stature, weighing between 9 to 15 pounds and standing around 9 to 12 inches tall. Shichons have a soft, fluffy coat that can be curly or wavy, often in shades of white, cream, tan, or apricot, resembling a teddy bear.

Temperamentally, Shichons are known for their friendly, affectionate, and outgoing nature. They are gentle and sociable dogs that get along well with children and other pets, making them great family companions. Shichons are intelligent and eager to please, which generally makes them easy to train, though they may have a slight stubborn streak from their Shih Tzu lineage. They thrive on positive reinforcement training methods and enjoy learning new tricks.

Shichons adapt well to various living environments, including apartments, as long as they receive enough exercise and mental stimulation. They enjoy interactive playtime with their owners and benefit from daily walks or moderate exercise sessions to keep them healthy and happy. Due to their small size and social nature, Shichons prefer to be with their family members and may experience separation anxiety if left alone for long periods of time. With their loving temperament and charming appearance, Shichons make delightful pets for individuals or families looking for a loyal and affectionate companion.

The Shichon is also known as a "Teddy Bear."  Please see our Teddy Bears link to see Shichon puppies for sale.
