Did you know?  So many people call me wanting an older pet so it will already be house trained.  House training issues are the number one reason that most people want to sell older pets and many people are willing to lie about this just to sell.  Even if a dog is properly house trained in the home, not all dogs are going to retain this training after the environment is changed when it goes to your house.  The two great things to do if you want your dog to not always urinate in your floor- 1. The most important thing is that you need to think an intelligent and easy to train dog is cute so you don't go home with a less intelligent, problem pet.  2.  You need to have a clear understanding of what you're trying to accomplish in training your pet, and that you should use only the crate training approach in doing this.

FURminator Tool, (Yellow) 4" Large

3. Above left photo:  "The Furminator" anti shed comb! Using this tool when the short haired dog begins to lose his winter coat is said to reduce his shedding by up to 90%!  This large variety of this product costs approximately the same as just one haircut! Now it is possible for you to have a really healthy and more intelligent almost no shed pet without the mental and physical issues and related expenses that too often occur in the "girlie" pets. This would be much easier to use than brushing a long coat every day just to keep it from becoming matted or tangled,  or bathing it enough to make it develop skin conditions while trying to prevent it from smelling like the urine that constantly gets in the hair when it squats to urinate.  The only logical reasons to buy the long haired reduced shedding pets now would be that you enjoy doing hair or that you think they're really cute! Because some short haired dogs don't smell as badly as many long haired breeds and because less outdoor allergens are likely to become entrapped in the hair of a short coat breed, a short haired pet that has been properly combed may have more hypoallergenic value to some patients than the long coat non shedders. Now you can have almost no shedding and use that hair cut money for car payments, etc.!

4. Above right photo: Tri-color hairless female pup!  Did you ever wonder why God didn't make people hairy all over? *Are you really sure you never got a migraine because of allergens from your hairy pet?  Only those who are allergic to saliva or urine are likely to be bothered by a hairless pet.  Hairlessness is like human skin; not a shortcoming, but another gift from God that he has given to improve our pet experience!  *Did you know that the second leading cause of death in humans throughout the history of the world is a FLEA BITE?  (Millions died when rats spread the Black Plague from rats to humans.)  It may be that many other  diseases for which there is no understanding or treatment may be spread by fleas that bite other things before biting humans! Hairless dogs are the only dog that don't get fleas and ticks without wearing preventative poisons that may not be good for us!

6. Above right photo:  Toy Rat Terriers in red/white, blue/white, blonde/white, and fawn/white!  With no close competition, these pure bred Rat Terriers are the best loved pet we sell because they're fun, healthy, easy to care for, and likely easier to house train than any other dog if training is done properly.  These are easily the most intelligent and best with children pet we sell. Though most buy dogs because of the way they look, those lucky enough to think a Rat Terrier is the cutest have really chosen the best all around family pet.

* I choose NOT to raise many breeds that you may be attracted to because I have learned that puppy buyers want to blame the breeder if their pet grows into an  unhealthy dog that has genetics-related problems later! Most  pet owners never get past "how cute is it/how much does it cost".  This is why vet expenses are high!  Many of America's favorite (cutest) breeds have serious genetic problems that can send you to the vet regularly for the next 10 years! I could just as easily raise one breed of dog as another, and have been accused of bashing what the caller wants just because I don't have one to sell.  It's all about learning what's likely to occur in this pet before you buy it so you are more likely to love it later. I had rather you hang up and not talk to me now than to call me back in 8 years to say the Jack Russell bit all the way through your husband's palm, that the Yorkie or Chihuahua always urinated in the floor, or that the Pug died from a heart attack at 5 years old.  I try to breed the dogs that don't produce frequent complaints with these types of problems.  Want to know more? The cheapest way is to buy a pet that has been properly cared for before you take it home and to choose a pet with healthy genetics and low maintenance that's more likely to be cheaper to own later.
